The Global IP Magazine Issue 25 : Exploring the Future of Intellectual Property at INTA 2026

As we proudly present Issue 25 of The Global IP Magazine, launched alongside the International Trademark Association (INTA) Annual Meeting 2026 in London, we celebrate another important milestone in our continued journey to deliver insightful, globally relevant perspectives shaping the future of intellectual property.

This special edition brings together influential professionals, industry leaders, legal practitioners, and innovators from across the international IP community, reflecting the rapidly evolving role of intellectual property within business, technology, innovation, and global strategy.

As the global IP landscape continues to transform through artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, data-driven decision-making, and increasing international interconnectedness, this edition explores many of the conversations currently defining the future direction of the industry.

Leading this issue is a contribution from Ms Shweta Singh, Founder of Ennoble IP, India, who examines the evolution of IP from AI-assisted workflows to AI-architected hybrid-intelligence portfolios. Her article explores how AI is influencing strategic IP decision-making, predictive portfolio management, and innovation planning while reinforcing the importance of balancing machine intelligence with human expertise and judgment.

From the United States, Michele S. Katz, Founding Partner at Advítam IP, LLC, explores the growing importance of trade marks as valuable estate assets. Her contribution highlights the legal considerations surrounding succession planning, ownership transfer, and the preservation of brand legacy across generations.

This edition also features Anomi Wanigasekera and Sabeera Shariff of Julius & Creasy, Sri Lanka, who examine the increasingly significant role of intellectual property within the sports industry. Their article explores how trade marks, copyright, patents, and designs contribute to commercialisation, innovation, and long-term brand protection while addressing key challenges shaping the sector globally.
